Our Play Date at the library starring Daddy

This post was from a few weeks ago. Our Play Date was invaded by Q's daddy last week. Our Play Date was extra special for that day. Derrick decided to not only show up to be but to show his son the love he deserved. So he began to play with Q. Usually his dad is too busy working to come to the library but he showed up to play with his son. At first Derrick went to the mall thinking that we were there but he realized exactly where we were. I had gotten a call from the library and as I walked to the front to ask questions regarding the fone call that I received, apparently Derrick walked in. There were difficulties because Derrick's fone is off and he had bn txt'n through FB messenger. Once I got to the play area that we were in I saw Derrick starting to play with our son. He played with not only Q, he played with Kaleb as well.

 

 

This will always be one of my favorite photos. Derrick just enjoying his visit with our son. Our visits always go great. We played all over the entire play area. But yesterday was extra special to me. Our Play dates always go well but daddy being there made it more special for us. Being a great parent to Q helps us be better parents to Q. He began  flying Q all over the entire play area. Derrick began to take turns flying both boys Q and Kaleb all  over play area. The boys loved playing with Derrick. "Q" is always wanted to be first in everything he is doing. He is funny that way sometimes.  He always wants to be first at everything.I don't think that Derrick really understands how important his role is on Q's life. He says he does understands but I don't know to which degree. Those are always good days that I have with him. He is such a sweet little guy. I love him so much. Our play dates are always so magical at times. And not only did he play with Q he played with my grandson Kaleb as well.  

Both of the boys really enjoyed the visit with Derrick. I just really enjoy the fact that the kids get to enjoy time with Derrick. Both boys are growing up so fast. Q is the older unkle. Kaleb is younger than him by a few months. Growing up together,  they'll always be close. Even when they don't see each other they're constantly asking about each other. It's all about family for me. Both of the boys enjoyed hanging out with Derrick. All he did was swing them aroud in there. But you couldn't have told the boys nothing more. It was a great moment for us all. And all he did was swing them both around in the library. It was the love that we all experienced that day.

 

Being able to explore and take this journey in this library always brings so much joy to our lives and faces. Q and Kaleb do the absolute most at times. Q actually measured Kaleb's height,  in which Kaleb is actually 37 inches where Q is 2 inches taller than his nephew at 39 inches. 

Both Q & Kaleb enjoy their time inside of this fun museum. I'm just thankful that the library has been opened back up for the public use. They play everywhere around the library. During the spring and summer months we went to the park  and played outside. and the mall enjoyed our visits there. There wasn't as much fun being at the library. The library is always a place of enjoyment for us all and it always has been. 

I always enjoy all of our visits here. Seeing the smile on Q's face made me enjoy it more. And then Q began to measure my mom's height there as well just for her to be apart of the action. Q began measuring not only my mom,  his grandma,  to see how tall she was. It was a very precious time.
