Life as I see it...in my own words!!!

I love whn I wash my hair and it curls up. I try to make sure keep my hair lookn its best. My daughter was laughn at me whn my hair curld up, telln me tht I had the gherry curl tht I always wantd. Lol I laughd really hard.

The date was set. After meeting and greeting with my new Angel Sisters at our local mall I was given the date of October 15 and the place was Belle Isle. I was excited to be a part of a fan club, this fan club. I had never joined a fan club before and didn’t expect much maybe an autographed picture at the most but I got so much more. This is something that I was not used to. Being from the hood in Detroit, MI I was never exposed to giving back and never knew that events or real people that did such things existed. I was excited as I explained the mission to my kids, they asked me how I was supposed to be walking and my disability (MS) wouldn’t allow me to walk the entire 5 miles. But I was determined to at least attempt to walk far as I could. I was brimming with excitement about the upcoming mission. So October 15th came it was cold, dark and rainy but I didn’t let that stop me from going to do what I set in my heart to do. Since we had to meet at 7 am I left my house...

So I am entering a new realm of natural hair care. I have not had a relaxer in my hair since 2010. My hair was natual before that. But then I moved to Indiana I didn't take care of my hair so my hair broke off. Byt once I cut my damaged hair off I began to let it grow back.

So I was mad recently as I waited for the Grammies this past Sunday. Trey had been nominated once again for his music, this time on Chapter V. "Heart Attack" Best Male R&B. We all were excited because we knew that he deserved a Grammy for all of his excellent work, his best effort. But once again they past him up for another artist "Miguel" and his song "Adorn". Not saying that Miguels song wasn't good, indeed it was but really? My soul was hurt and it stung my gut to hear that he didn't win. I was sick as my eyes began to water my mind raced thinking of all of the reasons why they would deny him once again. And he, Trey himself believed he had a great chance this time to win.
